Planimeter Pro for map measure App Reviews

After updating to iOS6 app became useless. Lots of clouds on sat images do not allow to place markers properly. Should allow to use a different map database.

I use it constantly for my iPhone Munzee geocache app... Measuring areas distances etc... I have an iPhone 4s most current iOS and no problems.

Any address I type in says "cannot find address"! I got this to use for my company, and so far it has been useless! ??????????????

Determining the area of selected points is accurate but but dragging the arrows to the exact points is at times problematic.

Every address I enter comes back with an error that it cannot be found.

Address Search worked in previous version.

Latest update killed the search function. Program can still be used by pinch and zoom. The first time you open this app there is a simple tutorial overlay but after that youre on your own.

When square yards are selected, square feet are displayed.

It is truly wonderful what entrepreneurs do! This program on top of the map program is magnificent. I use it to support historical and natural history reading. The ability to see the ground and/or the political boundaries without having fingers in the book is magical. The shortfalls in search are minimized by shrinking the image till the general location is in view. Then expand as needed! I measure ships and boats in the Suez Canal and continental scaled features. Does the program measure great circle distances? Wonderful! Desiderata: geographic locations, degrees and minutes for designated points. GPS makes this the lingua franca now. Second, as a long term objective, the ability to present features on common layers as in Geographic Information Systems would be really neat! It would allow removing the highway grid to see what the ground looked like in 1944, 1776 or even 1066. Even highlighting the hydro layer to better understand the relief might be possible.

Does exactly what it says it does, no frills. The only issue I have had is if it shows my location I cant place a point at my location. It would be nice if it had a follow function where it places points or a path walked (or driven) based on your gps location. Overall though a very good app. Especially the email function!

This app is garbage

I loved the old version but this version is full of errors and crashes every time I try to use it. Hopefully they will make the necessary fixes and it will be as useful as the previous version.

The old version was way better. The new version doesnt measure in feet or miles it measures in only yards. The new version is harder to drag the pins where you want them the old way with the arrows was better.

This was a terrible product and I would not advise anyone to spend money on this ! It did nothing more than any free map system Rip Off
